Web-Programming

Content

The Web Programming course combines the theoretical fundamentals of web programming—covering both backend and frontend architecture—with the practical application of various techniques and methods. The course places a strong emphasis on practical application, which is consistently reinforced through homework assignments and exercises. The course is primarily aimed at beginners, but is also suitable for students with prior programming experience. Through this course, we aim to inspire students to program—this applies to students with and without prior knowledge. Current buzzwords, such as Web 3.0 or mobile applications, highlight the constant dynamism and relevance of the field of web programming. It is therefore important to understand the underlying fundamentals and concepts. Furthermore, it is essential to be able to analyze the interconnections. The Internet has now become the foundation of various business models. Therefore, it is of enormous importance that technical skills are paired with business management skills. This course provides students with a key competency that can be understood as an interface function between the pure conception and development of a web application and the business management perspective. Web programming is also a very interesting key competency for departments outside of computer science.

Structure

The course consists of an e-learning offer of the virtual university of Bavaria (vhb) for self-study and concludes with a written exam (60 min.).
