Florian Meier has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation this week.
His dissertation, “Collaboration in Digital Work,” examines how collaboration is shaped in digital work environments under conditions of rapid technological and societal change. The project began during the Covid-19 pandemic and reflects both the challenges and opportunities of digital collaboration — from remote teamwork and online teaching to the emergence of generative AI as a new actor in knowledge work.
During his time at the chair, Florian made significant contributions to research, teaching, and the development of digital learning formats. He also played a key role in building and leading our Dr. Theo und Friedl Schöller Lab “Future of Work”, from which his dissertation is the first PhD to emerge.
Prof. Dr. Sven Laumer highlights
“Florian’s work stands out for its close connection between research and practice. He has not only studied digital collaboration but actively shaped it over many years. I warmly congratulate him on this achievement and wish him all the best for the future.”
We congratulate Dr. Florian Meier on his successful PhD and thank him for his outstanding commitment.
