Sebastian Schötteler, M.Sc.

Sebastian Schötteler started his Information Systems studies at the Nuremberg Institute of Technology Georg Simon Ohm in 2012 and graduated with a master’s degree in 2018. Through out his studies, he was able to gain extensive practical experience within the various facets of digitalization at the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and corresponding project experience sat the Elektrobit Automotive GmbH and the Siemens AG.

After his master thesis with the title “Development of a Digital Transformation Framework for the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry”, he collected further practical experiences at the N-ERGIE AG, where he primarily dealt with the digitalization and further development of customer processes via SAP. In 2019, he decided to investigate the increasing influence of digitalization on working life more closely and therefore joined the chair as an external doctoral student. At the same time, he works as a research fellow and project collaborator at the Nuremberg Institute of Technology Georg Simon Ohm, where he is responsible for the implementation of various digital technologies to improve internal collaboration. This enables him to directly combine theoretical research with practical experiences.

His research focuses on the increasing influence of digitalization and digital technologies on collaboration within companies.
