Coaching and mentoring of new students
The seminar is a combination of theory and practice.
Please note: The seminar starts before the actual start of lectures (1.10.).
The theoretical basics are taught in blended learning format. Attendance is compulsory for the synchronous events (10.10. and another date in Nov). The exact structure of the seminar will be explained in the StudOn course.
The content includes:
The theory is followed by practical implementation. Initially in the form of coaching (14.10. – 17.10.) and from the second week of the semester in the form of mentoring. The individual phase also starts from the second week of lectures. A synchronous online event takes place during this phase. First semester students will be supervised by the participants of this seminar throughout the semester.
Registration & application for the seminar takes place in May – July beforehand. Synchronous to the application “Mentors wanted”. At the end of July/beginning of August, the places will be allocated according to defined criteria and you will be informed if you have been awarded a place.
