You’ve heard of startups, but do you know how to turn one into a fast-growing company? In the Scale-Up Excellence course, you’ll learn how young companies structure their operations, strategies, and processes to achieve sustainable growth. Structure
The course consists of an e-learning program offered by the Virtual University of Bavaria (vhb) for self-study and concludes with a written exam (60 minutes).
Examination and Exam Numbers
Prüfung: 57271 (Exam, 60 Min.); 5 ECTS
If you wish to take the exam, you must register independently during the respective registration periods via both vhb and campo. This ensures that the staff at the University of Würzburg are notified of your participation in the exam and that we at FAU can record your grades. For FAU students, the exam will be held in person at FAU. Further information regarding the exam time and location will be announced after the registration period ends.
Access to the Course Platform (vhb course)
The course platform (wuecampus) can be accessed via the vhb course from the start of the lecture period. Link to vhb course program.
You can register via the vhb (see above) starting from the beginning of the lecture period each semester. Registration with the supervisors is not necessary. There is no limit to the number of participants; there is no need to panic if you miss the very first day of registration!

The course can be taken by Bachelor’s students of Economics and Business Administration at FAU in the elective area. If you are studying a different degree program, please clarify any questions regarding creditability with your responsible examination office.
For reasons related to examination regulations, crediting the course as a key qualification is not possible for students of the School of Business, Economics and Society (FB WiWi) or for students at any other vhb universities.
Only students registered under the above-mentioned exam numbers can participate in the exam. If the exam numbers are not displayed in campo for your degree program, please contact the course supervisor immediately with your matriculation number, degree program, and intended degree.
The online course is designed for self-study. There are no sessions in which knowledge about the content is taught. Please note, however, that the exam takes place in person at FAU.
